He was soliciting thoughts and ideas from members months before he was to take the position. He would have been an awesome president.”
“Chris loved life,” said Jim Compton, of Monroe Township, another Guild member. “He was a friend willing to help anyone.” Still, when his friends talked about his contribution to the guild, it was as much for his dedication and infectious laugh as it was filling a bottle with the juice from a grape. “I always thought of Chris as sort of the heart and soul of the organization, in the background and not seeking the limelight, but always looking out for the good of the organization,” Cook said.
