Alyssa Bainbridge was crowned Miss Pennsylvania on June 18 in York.A central Pa. high school student won the statewide title of Miss Pennsylvania’s Outstanding Teen in a ceremony hosted in York Saturday night.
Jersey Gianna Smith, of York, is the daughter of Dan and Joey Lynn Smith and attends Carmichaels Area High School. She competed in the ceremony at the Appell Center for the Performing Arts in York as Miss York County’s Outstanding Teen. Smith received an $8,000 scholarship for winning the competition, as well as the $500 preliminary talent award and the $500 overall talent award.Jersey Gianna Smith was crowned Miss Pennsylvania's Outstanding Teen on June 18 in York
A woman from the Reading area, Alysa Bainbridge, was crowned Miss Pennsylvania and also will move on to the national Miss America competition in December. She is the daughter of Jeff and Michele Bainbridge who previously was named Miss Greater Reading.Bainbridge is a graduate of Saint Joseph’s University where she majored in communication studies and is currently working on a Master of Sciences in Leadership from Cabrini University.
She was awarded a $12,000 scholarship for winning the competition, as well as $1,000 social impact pitch award and a $1,000 women in media award. Bainbridge will compete in the Ms. America Competition in Connecticut in December.More than $70,000 were awarded to participants in the two competitions, including $5,000 to Maria Cade, Ms. Central Pennsylvania, who was named first runner up for Ms. Pennsylvania.
