In a series of Facebook posts following the Cowboys’ loss to Green Bay in the playoffs, Lamb’s mother took some jabs at Prescott.

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb and quarterback Dak Prescott smile as they’re interviewed after an NFL football game on Sunday, Jan. 7, 2024, in Landover, Md.. The Cowboys defeated the Commanders 38-10.“I know what my mom said,” the Dallas Cowboys’ star wide receiver said during an appearance on teammate Micah Parson’s podcast The Edge. “I have not been talking to my mom about any of this. I don’t talk to my mom about my sports nor my personal problems, she’s just being a mom.

“Dak can definitely lead us . He just also needs other leaders,” Lamb said. “And that’s why I’m pointing at myself. I can help him. He’s already got so much on his plate.”Lamb had a historic season for the Cowboys, recording career bests in receptions , yards and touchdowns . However, at timesParsons asked Lamb what he can do to improve next season and he offered a blunt self-assessment.

“First and foremost, I do gotta grow up,” Lamb said. “There’s plenty of ways of me handling different situations. Me being mad is not one of the answers... I could be more of a leader. I could be more vocal, even though I know that’s not me... If I’m going to take this label of being , I take full accountability. I’m going to take this label of being , there’s times where I’ve got to get out of my shell, my comfort zone.
