CDC updates guidance on the best masks to protect against COVID-19

KN95 masks, which are the Chinese standard and are also required to filter out 95% of particles, also meet international standards but are not regulated by the U.S. However, the CDC warns that about 60% of the KN95 masks sold in the U.S. are fake and don't meet NIOSH standards for filtration.

Only used N 95 since Feb 2020, donated most of what I had on hand to the local hospital. I only go off my farm a couple hours at most once a week so I get a mask to last months. Just take it off carefully and set to dry on the porch. Let it set for a week. Lable & Rotate them.

No supplier who shall carry the risk guarantees virus protection for N95. Good against other illnesses. We have soaring figures here hence N95. Stay at home, use gargling solution with label guaranteeing virus protection. At the moment booster fits best to reduce personal risk.

If this guideline was for COVID it would have been issued months ago, my suspicion is that they are expecting a serious atmospheric ash fallout (caused by any source).
