A new national study adds strong evidence that mask mandates can slow the spread of the coronavirus, and that allowing dining at restaurants can increase cases and deaths.“All of this is very consistent,” CDC Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky said during a White House briefing on Friday. “You have decreases in cases and deaths when you wear masks, and you have increases in cases and deaths when you have in-person restaurant dining.”.
The CDC researchers looked at U.S. counties placed under state-issued mask mandates and at counties that allowed restaurant dining — both indoors and at tables outside. The study looked at data from March through December of last year. “Each day that growth rate is going down, the cumulative effect — in terms of cases and deaths — adds up to be quite substantial,” said Gery Guy Jr., a CDC scientist who was the study's lead author.
According to CDC: 1. Masks prevent COVID. 2. Ventilation prevents COVID. 3. Vaccinations prevent severe disease for some strains. 4. Vaccinated people can visit with unvaccinated people indoors without masks if they aren’t high risk. Doesn’t 4 undo any gain from 1-3?

2%... the data they released literally says that wearing a mask reduces daily positive cases and deaths by 2%. That's statistically significant and also very, very marginal.
The only way to deal with willful ignorance is, to hit them with consequences. Large fines or jail terms will quickly have thinking twice.

So much emphasis has been put out on dining outside but this should be solved by doing this: 1.The restaurants and staff should be paid and close for few month with no exceptions . 1. People start learning on how to cook fir few months. If this happens 3 months the virus gone

I think we’re all aware of the risks. If someone wants to open their bar, and if people are willing to work in that bar, and people want to eat chicken wings and drink beer at that bar, they should be FREE to do so.
