The CDC is working with health departments in Wisconsin, Illinois, California, Indiana and Minnesota on the investigation. Since June 28, states have reported 94 possible cases of severe lung illness tied to vaping, with 30 occurring in Wisconsin, according to a CDC statement on Saturday. A CDC spokesman was unable to provide additional information on the investigation. Representatives for the state health departments did not respond to inquiries.

Knew that was coming. There has not been any long term studies if this is a “safe” alternative. Hence the reason we don’t have “light” cigarettes anymore. No smoking is the safest & I’m a smoker!

All tied to black market cannabis products.

So meaningless.

Lazy reporting Reuters, and it sets you up nicely for a libel suit. Good luck!

Natural selection.

Smoking/vaping whatever name they come up with is simply stupid. It cannot be sugarcoated to make it be otherwise.

Test children too.

fear mongering and misinformation at its best. vaping is better than smoking.. but i gather the MSA stuff plays a part in all this state stuff.

No shit Sherlock. This wasn’t ever going to happen was it?

Illness, uh yeah...cancer?

Hate to say it but anything in excess is no good for humans :)

Google: popcorn lung. I can't imagine anyone would think vaping is ' good for you. Better than actually smoking, and better DOES matter from the harm reductionist standpoint.

I've read the full article. There is neither detailed information on the illness nor they are linked. Most e-cig users are pre-smokers whom smoked for 20-30years. Thus its very vague to claim e-cigs are the cause of any of those illnesses. We all know best is to quit. But....

“amazing, who would have thought......”

Has absolutely everyone lost their powers of foresight?

We wouldn't want to jump to any real solutions like blaming underage nicotine use on the parents or adults who buy them the products. No. Instead, we'll just go after the industry to save big tobacco lobbyist asses. We won't even blame knockoff juul pod makers. That'll show'em!

You mean to tell me that inhaling carcinogens is bad for you? The hell you say!

It’s moronic to use these devices. There is no upside. There is only the potential to wreck your health for - nothing.

Oh great. My o2 sats are way up. CDC going to start a new hysteria

Do these idiots even know they're smoking a circuit board..

This guy looks like a little steam engine

Unreal cloud

Needs a generation of testing

More than 120 cases of lung disease in 15 states could be linked to vapingHealth officials say it's still unclear whether there's a connection between these cases or whether vaping definitively caused their illnesses -- which led to multiple people being hospitalized.
