Police in the Canadian province of Quebec are looking for a man who punched a nurse for apparently vaccinating his wife without his consent, according to reports.

In recent weeks, anti-vaccine protesters have targeted hospitals and health care workers across Canada. Protests ramped up in the run-up to this week’s federal election, with some demonstrations targeting schools, Reuters reported.

On Wednesday, Quebec Premier Francois Legault said the legislature would try to pass a special law this week to restrict how closely anti-vaccine protests can be staged near schools or hospitals. “My patience has reached its limit,” he told reporters. “I think it’s important to leave our children and patients in peace.”Reuters: “Police in Quebec seek man for punching nurse over wife’s COVID-19 shot.”: “Canadian man punched nurse who vaccinated wife ‘without his authorization,’ police say.”
