In assessing the impact of corporate pledges to work towards racial equity, it is critical to contextualize the value of corporate action in the greater struggle for anti-discrimination. Some scholars have suggested that organizational justice might be a way to combat discrimination, but the unfulfilled corporate promises following the BLM movement leaves the real-life efficacy of this approach in doubt.
