identified the congressman as Democratic Rep. Hakeem Jeffries. He is not identified in the criminal complaint.

Lemke's texts also included a picture of a home in the same neighborhood as Jeffries’ brother’s house, according to the complaint. He also sent texts to Jeffries’ sister-in-law, according to federal officials. The criminal complaint also doesn’t identify the journalist, but the New York Times, citing a person briefed on the investigation, identified ABC anchor George Stephanopoulos.

According to the complaint, Lemke told a"New York City-based" relative of Stephanopoulos that the journalist’s “words are putting you and your family at risk. We are nearby armed and ready. Thousands of us are active/retired law enforcement, military, etc. That’s how we do it.”

This performative action means little. Republicans huh, isn't that just precious. Show him the honor of holding those responsible for the events leading up to his death on January 6th accountable first. Acting US Capitol Police chief: 'No credible threat' indicated thousands would attack the CapitolCapitol Police took precautions prior to the January 6 riot, but there was no credible threat indicating tens of thousands would attack, the acting Capitol Police chief tells House lawmakers Amazing how when the CNN darling is in a scandal the system goes dark! Everyone I knew in liberal circles was talking about how violent the 45 crowd was going to be, even up to a month in advance. Anyone who even glanced at social media would have been aware. Not buying it. Bad intel. Perhaps you should look at those departments and see what their involvements are and who directed them.
