Just a few stints ago, her solo venture “Positions” did the same. Grande remains the only name in history to score a trio of chart-topping debuts in Hot 100 history in one year.
This spring, Travis Scott and Kid Cudi’s “The Scotts” had no trouble becoming a No. 1 hit as it appeared on the Hot 100 for the first time. In October, the rapper was joined by Young Thug and M.I.A. on “Franchise,” which repeated that success. Now, BTS has gathered a pair of No. 1 opens, as “Life Goes On” follows in the massive footsteps of “Dynamite,” which gave the septet their first leader back in September when it racked up enough streams and sales to kick off its time on the Hot 100 in the penthouse.
