Over the course of 13 weeks, Cordero faced a multitude of serious complications, including a leg amputation, infections in his lungs and the insertion of a temporary pacemaker. Cordero had shown signs of improvement, but his numerous COVID-19 complications proved too much to overcome. "He can’t talk because of the ventilator. … But he’s awake and he’s in there," Kloots said on June 18. "He's so weak. He still can't move and his muscles are definitely atrophying. He's lost 65 pounds."

I didn't know of him but heard about his fight with the virus weeks ago. This was touching. His wife was by his side which he had written in a past Valentine's Day note. No fear he wrote as long as she was by his side. She had to bring him comfort.
