and others, have become rallying cries during national protests, cited as examples of social injustice and police brutality.
Palmer appeared with attorneys Benjamin Crump and Lonita Baker a day after holding separate private meetings with Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer and Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron about the investigation into Taylor's death.Palmer was asked what she learned from Cameron about the probe. "Just that he wants to have the right answer at the end of this," Palmer said."He doesn't want to rush through it. So for me, I'm trying to accept that and be patient with that. Because I definitely want him to come out with the right answer.
"It really speaks to why we should not have the police policing themselves," Crump said,"because we lost two months while we were letting them try to figure out how to justify the unjustifiable. And so now we're waiting on ballistics tests over 150 days later?"The state attorney general's office released few details about Wednesday's meeting, but it reiterated that the investigation into Taylor's death is still active.
"The meeting provided an opportunity for Attorney General Cameron to personally express his condolences to the family. The investigation remains ongoing, and our Office of Special Prosecutions continues to review all the facts in the case to determine the truth,"Attorney General Cameron was grateful today to meet with the family of Ms. Breonna Taylor, including Ms. Tamika Palmer, Ms. Juniyah Palmer, Ms.
keranews Stop protecting murderous police. JusticeforBreonnaTaylor
White men should just stop applying for jobs as police officers in big cities. It's not worth the possible losses if you get caught up in controversy. Some police departments, like Baltimore, are already having trouble recruiting.
This was so horrible, it still doesn't seem real 😔
Maybe we need to mandate some kind of formal public inquest for police involved shootings. Stipulate a reasonable amount of time, and lay out the evidence. Trying these things in media gets us nothing but trouble.
Let’s check under the rug!!!!!!
Those cops were reckless and took a womans life needlessly.
She was involved in drug trafficking.
Everything I've heard so far says that the cop who killed Breonna Taylor over-reacted, probably from fright, and committed (at least) reckless endangerment homicide. If for no other reason, charges should be filed so that we can hear his side if the story, told in open court.
Arrest Brett Hankison Jonathan Mattingly and Myles Cosgrove!!!! They are murderers and need to be held accountable for their actions and punishment needs to be handed out!! ArrestthecopswhokilledBreonnaTaylor BREONNATAYOR NoJusticeNoPeace
Didn’t her boyfriend fire at the cops first?🤔
AttorneyCrump We have to keep saying her name. SAY HER NAME !!!!!! BREONNA TAYLOR NO JUSTICE NO PEACE ✌️🇨🇦
Would charges be more applicable to whoever had done the shoddy work of getting and approving the warrant? Were they the same as the cops who had executed the warrant?
A parent's worse nightmare comes to life that some idiot killed your kid at night! Breonna was innocent & didn't deserve to die! She was sleeping when the cops busted in & killed her without cause. louisvillekygov
Where is the disconnect with these people? It was tragic, yes, but there is no way they will get convicted of murder in court.
More race baiting from NPR
The elephant in the room says one hundred and fifty days ago it was a tragic death by cross fire that killed Taylor when police entered apartment with legal warrant & her boyfriend Walker shot at police first hitting & wounding one officer before rest of police opened fire.
And nothing of value was lost.
we should be out in the streets protesting every day until her family gets justice
Arrest the cops that killed Breonna Taylor! And any other cop for that matter.
