You can’t get buy on just female stars in this genre. The bar has been raised in action movies like John Wick and Atomic Blonde. If you’re not at that bar, you’re not going to get a pat on the head just because you have a group of established actresses.

It was a fun movie, the ladies were awesome. The plot was like many others but still a solid flick, I give it a B.
The previews reminded me of the last Charlie’s angels movie.
No major action film with men has ever been marketed as “male led action”. When you market like this, you immediately alienate people subconsciously, IMO. The formula doesn’t work. Would love to see films like this succeed, tho.

Yeah, not surprising. There wasn’t any interest and the marketing was terrible. Female lead films can be very successful, but you need the right marketing and the right franchise.
