What to make of this whirling dervish? Mr Johnson is notoriously a “Marmite” politician: fans forgive him anything; enemies regard him as a dangerous buffoon. The latter group now includes his former chief adviser, Dominic Cummings, who this week told thethat the very idea of Mr Johnson being prime minister “obviously is ludicrous”.
But the man who can sniff the future on every changing breeze can also make the most godawful hash of things. He fulfilled a promise to “get Brexit done” by blithely agreeing to a customs border in the Irish Sea and then denying that it meant anything. He dawdled in his initial response to covid-19, missing the first five emergency meetings to try to sort out his personal affairs.

His supporters still won’t countenance not voting for him though, frankly their swivel eyed loyalty is starting to make ISIS jealous 🤪🇬🇧
Boris Johnson The critics have an argument that does not accept argument
PM Boris Johnson is a great prime minister! Does not seem that he failed to delegate - he just does a lot of work himself. He hogged the limelight? He is the best possible representative for the UK - so he should be in the limelight with his great personality
He leads like a conservative.
He has not failed to delegate - it is just that nobody with an ounce of decency or skill wants to be associated with the cabal!
Boris by numbers before becoming PM:
golden boy
Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen delegation you mean?
See
wow
How he failed ؟؟؟
Hypothetical hindsight is always 20/20. Too much alternative timeline in your article- could/might well/maybe/perhaps have been much more of a disaster as well.
Freedom Day! Was the best thing since W’s MISSION ACCOMPLISHED banner. Never change conservatives (which is actually their aim too).
word 'might' and 'didn't' are important and if not Boris, high risk in 2019 , no election and still a hung Parliament or worse Corbyn/SNP coalition and debate on second referendum on going why look back to what ifs
I wonder how many more will die needlessly during the next inevitable crisis?
For the first time in my life I voted Labour in December 2019 because I figured Johnson would be a disaster for my country. I thought he might make a mess of Brexit. I never imagined the Covid disaster we've actually had. Yet still people think he's their man.
