Kuroda also said he had not changed his view that Japan’s economy would continue to recover moderately, suggesting that he saw no immediate need for the BOJ to expand stimulus. “But the situation is still uncertain. I don’t think Japan’s moderate economic recovery is derailing.” Kuroda said the Japanese economy was unlikely to enter a severe downturn as capital expenditure remained firm, adding that he saw no changes to the fundamentals driving exchange-rate moves.

Obvious not a clue about economics.

I'm not very bright but I thought that the US dollar was backed by a lot of China's ability to support US debt. It's odd to think that the dollar is so strong. My little brain seems to think the global economy is so tied together that nobody should be too far off.
