Blue Angels make their loud return to San Francisco

Established in 1981 by then-mayor Dianne Feinstein, the polarizing event will bring in a cavalcade of ships, navy jets and military bands from Oct. 3 to 11. On Oct. 7, 8 and 9, an air show will take place between Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz. The Blue Angels — arguably the most famous and widely anticipated navy jets — are scheduled to perform aerobatic tricks, according to Fleet Week's website.

The air force team visits my neighborhood every other year during the open house at the local airbase. I just go shopping for a few hours.

If you’ve never seen the angels fly, you 100% should. I’ve seen them fly in Pensacola a couple of times, most recently in June. It’s their home base and if the show they’re planning to put on there is anything like the ones I’ve seen.. you’re in for a phenomenal show.

When I was a teen and we lived in Beaufort. I was volunteering a lemonade stand where they performed. One crashed into a neighborhood and it was horrible. I never went to another show again!
