Michael Bloomberg unveiled a raft of regulatory proposals that mark an effort by the Democratic candidate to distance himself from his Wall Street roots

WASHINGTON—Presidential candidate Michael Bloomberg unveiled a raft of proposals to strengthen oversight of lenders and protect consumers, a move that positions the billionaire former New York City mayor closer to the rest of the Democratic field on financial policy.

The nine-page plan, announced on Tuesday, would toughen tests intended to determine whether banks can withstand an economic downturn. It would reverse steps to ease trading restrictions known as the Volcker rule and impose a tax on financial transactions, an idea...

You are not a TheDemocrats little mike. Tax a persons soda? No vote for you. Stop and Frisk? No vote for you MikeBloomberg

Good luck with that.

TheDemocrats hate it when sexist, inexperienced, crude billionaires with a history of racial comments try to barge their way into politics. HA! Just kidding.

Hope Warren is resting her voice for the debate

Nah bro.

The media wants Bloomberg getting the nomination so hard.

lol he has 60 billion dollars if he wants to “distance himself from his wall street roots” he can literally end homelessness in america

NEVER believe this rhetoric. Every Government regulation is an opportunity for someone to make money. Knowing the rules ahead of time puts you (friends and family) in the position to profit. Every regulation that helps a citizen is at the expense of another citizen -forgotten man

Mini-Mike, the 1st Emperor of Everywhere [In His Own Mind], sees himself as Master Despicable, in charge of all the minions. And I'm sorry, I'm not an effing Minion.

Instead of wasting billions on ads. why didnt he use his money for some good & help the homeless. That kind of wasted money would've gotten them all homes, treatments & jobs. But hell he didnt help them when he was mayor so why think he will help as president.$ cant buy everything

Translation: Bloomberg releases smoke screen of false promises pretending to be stern with Wall Street to engineer a better image he can use to subvert democracy by purchasing the Presidency of the United States of America.

The 'big-bosses' are happy the propaganda work of their MEDIA-PUPPETS in manipulating the electorate to vote for Blmberg and bringing down biden.

Lmao 10 years later no indictments no accountability and the Democratic Party gonna literally get behind a former republican whonos the epitomie of Wall Street 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Dems r frauds

How can anyone listen to this clown. Everything hes saying is a lie. Its the exact opposite of what he was saying a year ago. Sure I believe people change but not full circle & not overnight. A lifetime of bigotry don't just go away overnight. I don't care how rich you are.

Bloomberg is trying to purchase the presidency.

No more kings in the White House

bloomberg is the exact type of oligarch this country needs to rid itself of

Lmao he has over a billion dollars so I’m gonna go out on a limb and say he’s gonna have a hard time distancing himself from wall street

Be honest: did he pay for this?
