Los Angeles Dodgers' Mookie Betts celebrates after a home run against the Tampa Bay Rays during the eighth inning in Game 6 of the baseball World Series Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2020, in Arlington, Texas.
The end of a frustrating championship drought for LA — and perhaps just the start for Betts and the Dodgers. The Dodgers had played 5,014 regular season games and were in their 114th postseason game since Orel Hershiser struck out Oakland’s Tony Phillips for the final out of the World Series in 1988, the same year veteran lefty Clayton Kershaw — the three-time NL Cy Young Award winner who won Games 1 and 5 of this Series — was born in nearby Dallas.
Betts’ 3.2-second sprint was just enough to beat the throw by first baseman Ji-Man Choi, pushing Los Angeles ahead 2-1 moments after Rays manager Kevin Cash pulled ace left-hander Blake Snell despite a dominant performance over 5 1/3 innings.
justin turner, self serving, feels sorry for himself for missing fun (?), breaks protocol, no worries for his team. Feeling sorrier for himself, ignores what he’s told and runs to the field to celebrate! Will he care it’s his fault if players and their wives/kids are sick or die?
I'd rather have a good job& lower taxes($2000more auto deduc)from a Pres who's a strong leader, than 4Trillion tax hike,jobs2other countries&long-lasting shutdown from an older guy who won't talk policies,just blames others,has done no good in 47yrs&often can't complete a thought
There is hope for the Metz!
Who cares?

And no one cared
Thank goodness it’s over. This has been such a long year. So glad we have a champion in 2020.
Big Congrats to the City of Angles. You have won NBA & MLB in the same year.
I am confused... how can it be a World Series, if only one country participates?
There have been like 30 World Series since 1988 silly.
Do not think it was the first one since 19-88 as I recall them holding this event several year’s ago ,,,fake news
DonnaYoungDC Blue wave starts now
Congrats on the Win.
About time, they deserved it!
Damn, LA’s the only one doin good in 2020
Wow!!! That’s cool!!! Btw, GREAT job, Rays!!!
Just when you thought 2020 couldn’t get any worse...
Let the riots begin!!!
Still it would have been sweeter to win in DODGER STADIUM!!
A good year for LA teams!!
60 games, 7 inning games, runner on second, opted out players, NL DH, unbalanced schedule. FakeSeason FakeTitle
Good for LA!!! LA is on a roll!!!
Oh the World Series was going on?

I can’t believe it Wow just give the MVP to Kershaw
Did I miss something or did LA really just win 2 of the 3 major sports in the last 2 months?..

Uhm I could have sworn there have been at least one or two world series since 1988, I didn't know this was the first one since!
Awesome news and so happy to see this win. Cant wait to see another world series before 2062.
Lol Cash is a damn fool. Taking Snell out for a reliever who gave up runs in his last 6 outings!! I was on the dodgers so happy they pulled him 😂😂😂
So?
Not even a real season 🤣🤣🤣

Just heard that Justin Turner has been tested for COVID-19. He was around all his teammates. This is very concerning.
