Passover is upon us, and those looking to celebrate the Jewish holiday while in isolation have a gift in store: Billy Porter, Ben Platt, Idina Menzel and other celebrities are hosting a virtual seder for COVID-19 relief.

Passover is officially upon us, and for many Jewish people practicing social distancing without friends or family, the first holiday in isolation is hitting particularly hard. My family has never been much for Jewish tradition, which is why I’ve always relied on friends to include me in their Passover seders; as I chug Manischewitz, eat matzo, and make chitchat with their elderly family members, I feel like I’m part of something bigger than myself.

Luckily for me and other members of the tribe who must celebrate Passover solo, a group of celebrities—including Ben Platt, Billy Porter, Andy Cohen, Idina Menzel, Henry Winkler, Josh Groban, Billy Eichner, and more—is hosting aThe seder will, according to tradition, tell the biblical story of the Exodus from Egypt—helped along by comedy and music—and will raise money to help first responders fighting the.

Of course, celebrities aren’t the only ones virtually celebrating Passover; Twitter proves that quarantine isn’t stopping regular people from putting together pared-down seders, even if they don’t look quite like they did in the old country.
