Our Bostonian king has come a long way since the days when he was cruelly forced to talk about his back tattoo everywhere he went. He is famously back with his ex-fiancée Jennifer Lopez and almost obnoxiously happy about it.
Since his springtime reunion with J.Lo, Affleck’s look has become a little less “cigarettes and stained T-shirts” and a little more “cigarettes and tailored blazers.” In a new interview with WSJ., Affleck appears to be aware of this transformation and pretty damn happy about it. Here he is on the cover, the “bliss” emoji personified:
And what is a Ben Affleck interview without a section devoted to him trying to avoid questions about J.Lo? While answering a few inquiries about his relationship, Affleck managed to reveal via some heavily veiled language that he’s absolutely stoked to be hot again. “I can say that it’s definitely beautiful to me,” he began about his reunion with J.Lo before going on to say, “It’s hard to say who benefits more, without going into gossipy detail. I could just say that I feel great about being very healthy.”
Very … healthy? Veryyyy healthy?! Okay, stop bragging! While I know that there are many “healthy” developments in Affleck’s life that he could be referring to here (sobriety, new relationship, bunch of movies coming out, less Dunkin’), I am choosing to interpret this little non-confession to mean: “Yeah, I’m hot again.” It’s nice to see this guy (almost) smiling in a series of expensive wool coats, isn’t it? Welcome back, hot Ben.
