Bay Area News Group high school football predictions: Week 2, 2023

We’re back for another edition of the Bay Area News Group’s high school football picks.

We predict 16 games in Week 2, including the big one on Saturday in San Mateo between No. 1 Serra and No. 2 De La Salle. In Week 1, Mike Lefkow finished on top with nine correct picks. His list of victories included Orange Lutheran’s win over De La Salle. Lefkow is going against the Spartans again in Week 2, as is yours truly. We both have Serra winning a close game in the rematch of the Padres’ three-point victory at DLS last season.The Kid also is going with McClymonds on Friday to win a road game against Bellarmine/
