A brand new Avengers: Secret Wars fan poster imagines Iron Man and Captain America's return to the MCU. During San Diego Comic-Con 2022, Marvel Studios laid out its next overarching narrative, with the currently phase dubbed"The Multiverse Saga.
The next Avengers movies will be released in 2025, and while no other official details have been shared regarding their narratives or cast, their titles alone tease what audiences can expect from them. Plans for The Kang Dynasty are already set in motion with the appearance of Kang the Conqueror in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania after his debut in Loki season 1.

In the event that Avengers: Secret Wars does bring back Iron Man and Captain America, audiences shouldn't expect them to be primary players in the film's story. If anything, their potential involvement would be limited, similar to Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield's roles in Spider-Man: No Way Home. Instead, the focus would likely be on currently active MCU players like Doctor Strange, Spider-Man, and Captain Marvel.
