SYDNEY - The Wallabies will not take a knee in support of the ‘Black Lives Matter’ campaign ahead of next week’s Rugby Championship game against New Zealand as they will be focused on honouring Australia’s indigenous people, coach Dave Rennie said on Friday.
Australia will wear a new ‘First Nation’ jersey for the game on Oct. 31 but while fullback Dane Haylett-Petty had suggested they might also join other sports in the protest against racial injustice Rennie said they had voted against the idea.“The key thing is that this is about honouring our indigenous people and we want the focus to be on that.
“Our focus is around the First Nations people and the indigenous jersey; we’re not looking to make a political statement.” Gary Ella, who along with his brothers Mark and Glen played for the Wallabies in the 1980s and carved a path for indigenous Australians in rugby union, told the Sydney Morning Herald on Thursday that Farr-Jones’ comments were “stupid talk”.
I can understand that,
the idea of “the black life matters “ is ridiculous, it is a racist by someone think he is treated differently because he is black but not probably his bad behaviors or doing wrong things etc We are human beings, all our life is matters no matter what color you are
What a headline 😂😭 And good stuff Australia👏🙏
Excellent. Kiwi race issues are not Australian business.
The headline was written by the same people who translate Chinese product instructions.
No surprises here! Australia is the NO 1 racist country in the Pacific!
Who the fuck wrote this headline?
It said Gabs hands Raised not a front
Imagine thinking black people having basic rights is a “political statement” this is embarrassing for Australia and I’m an American so that’s saying something
I'm sorry, I must have been mistaken, I thought this was a game of rugby not a surgical operation. Whose knee are they proposing to take?
Before I apply to immigrate to America, I applied to immigrate to Australia. They rejected me for having muscular dystrophy. America embraced me 🥰
Amen
That headline is something else tho
Love Australian sports teams for bravely calling out fraudulent organizations
