What’s Turkey’s Plan B in Idlib?Assad’s recent attacks escalated tensions between Turkey and the Syrian regime, forcing Ankara to rely on the military option. I don’t think Assad would provoke Turkey in Idlib and a Northern Syria safe zone. Those troops might be with the Syrian regime, but I’m not sure if that’s Assad giving those orders. I think as long as Turkish forces maintain their military operations in Idlib and the north— — Assad will more than likely allow those operations to continue without interference. President Putin would need to convince President Assad to stand down. Which is why I’m not sure those orders are coming from Assad. I could be wrong.
