Known as"Bre" to her friends and family, Taylor moved from Michigan to Louisville when she was a teenager. Much of her large, tight-knit extended family moved around the same time."She was cool, a cool cat," says another aunt, Tahasha Holloway. Friends and family agree that Taylor was attracted to a career in health care because she cared about people. In a Facebook post Taylor made as her uncle recovered from a stroke last year, she wrote:
"I'm like, 'Why did we fall out? I don't understand.' And she was like,"It doesn't matter, Nick. We together again. Don't worry about that. I love you. Just know that,'" remembers Hunter."It's not right. We was robbed." My take is that we reward winning with privilege. For one thing, winning when it creates a loser isn't the greatest, but it's the form of capitalism we've got, at least when coupled with pride. The reward of better cohesion/belonging, do we even know how to model it, teach it?

People should feel safe from the police in their own homes. This has to be dealt with. This is murder. All the cops had to do was ask them to turn on the lights and show some ID, and they would have known they were in the wrong house.

I had tears of sadness and happiness listening to her 'amigos' as they were known thinking why and I wish I'd met Brianna. I hope her tragic death brings change with the no knock law.
The one comforting fact is that she’s in the better place.

This is terrible and an indictment of no knock warrants, but upon reading this story I can't help but wonder what race has to do with it.
When Breonna Taylor was killed, her future family died with her. Her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren all died that day.
These no-knock invasions need to stop. Totally against 4th Amendment. Law enforcement shouldn't be able to enter someone's home without probable cause and while also in hot pursuit. If they have a warrant, then knock and issue it or wait to arrest after the suspect emerges.
The whole concept of a No Knock Warrant should be made illegal. This is another sign of an ill trained and poorly led police force failing to use reasonable judgement and restraint. The real problem is poor training and poor judgement!
