SEATTLE — Seattle police arrested a man on suspicion of arson and felony harassment after he allegedly set a mattress on fire at a downtown Seattle hotel on Tuesday evening., officers arrived at the hotel around 8 p.m. and spoke to an employee who checked the suspect in. The employee told police he didn’t know why the man started the fire, but that Seattle Fire Department crews had extinguished it.
Officers searched for the man and found him outside the apartment building. The 26-year-old was arrested for investigation of arson and felony harassment and was later booked into the King County Jail.
