Troops that were already serving and were diagnosed with gender dysphoria were required to serve in their birth gender and were barred from taking hormones or getting transition surgery.

Then the military should pay for all elective surgeries. My husband was in for 30 years and my father for 23 and we had to pay for our own braces and glasses.
You know what that means. Everyone with a student loan (forgiven or not) is getting conscripted if another World War comes about. No excuses.

so, in a firefight, will the sergeant have to use the correct pronoun when issuing orders? And if he doesn't, does that mean he'll be brought up on disciplinary charges? More to the point, what if he is thinking about this potential during a firefight and misses something?

This is dangerous! LGBTQ recognize that body dysmorphic disorder is a mental illness but refuse to recognize transgender is just made up term for BDD & TheDemocrats aid them! Just because you're a man and like dresses/makeup DOES NOT make you a woman!
