The shutdown in the Missouri plant lasted only an hour, and Ford completed its scheduled production for the day. But the closure is a sign of the difficulty of building cars while keeping workers safe from the Covid-19 pandemic. It is the third time that a Ford plant has had a temporary and partial suspension of work since it reopened its US plants on May 18. Most US auto plants were closed for nearly two months in response to the outbreak.

"Ford forced to halt production at two plants after employees test positive for Covid-19Several nonunion automakers, including Volkwagen, Honda and Hyundai, said they have not had to shut their US plants since resuming work. Volkswagen said that two employees have tested positive for Covid-19 since it resumed production in Chattanooga, Tennessee, on May 17.

My cousins family member works there. He was very worried going back to work. He didn't feel safe in the plant because you work close to other employees. Missouri needs to stay home longer.

Wow, this just keeps happening everywhere. It's almost like it's ... too early to re-open the economy.

Uh oh, an employee might have the flu. Shut everything down! We don't even need to know if that employee really has it or not, just shut it all down!

Well that should piss of Donald!

The calculus of COVID-19: As the nation reopens, we all become amateur risk assessorsAs people start to design their own 'Is it worth it?' calculus, Americans are measuring the stakes and helping to frame a national referendum on risk. death numbers are total bs. Democrats are desperate to keep the country shutdown. They have to keep Biden in hiding, they know trump will destroy him in a debate. Oh yeah, and they want mail in voting...to cheat. Same shitty stories are being recycled The calculus is pretty simple. The people that will likely die have been deemed expendable and worth the risk of reopening
