A person who anonymously accused Kevin Spacey of sexually abusing him as a teenager was removed from a lawsuit against the actor Thursday, after a federal judge decided the case couldn’t continue if the accuser is unwilling to publicly reveal his name — but actor Anthony Rapp is still suing Spacey for similar reasons.Key Facts
Federal Judge Lewis Kaplan dismissed an anonymous plaintiff named C.D. from an assault lawsuit against Spacey Thursday, but Rapp — who also accused Spacey of sexually abusing him in the 1980s — is still listed on the same suit. C.D.’s lawyers suggested he should be allowed to remain anonymous due to mental health concerns, but Kaplan
that C.D. will need to identify himself, arguing it’s unfair for Spacey to defend himself against an anonymous accuser.
