Although the New York governor is not running for the Democratic nomination, more people are putting their odds on him over the senator from Vermont.Biden Doesn't Want to Debate Sanders Again: 'We've Had Enough Debates' Cuomo's press conferences about the coronavirus outbreak are watched daily by millions, as American's take comfort in the straight-forward and direct approach of the New York governor during a national crisis. New York is also the hardest-hit region of the country, with more than 30,000 confirmed cases and 280 deaths. Currently, Biden leads Sanders by a significant margin of delegates – more than 300 ahead, according to the Associated Press tally. He also leads Sanders by double digits in most recent national polls, and appears to be significantly ahead in surveys of states yet to vote in the Democratic primary process. Besides Sanders and Biden, there is no other candidate actively seeking the Democratic nomination. But technically, pledged delegates are not required to vote for the candidate they are tied to based on state primary and caucus results. Although it would be highly unusual, pledged delegates could technically back any person they chose when they go to the Democratic National Convention (DNC) in July. But that is unlikely to occur, as the individual candidates' campaigns have a say on who their pledged delegates are. The campaigns are not likely to choose delegates that they do not believe would be loyal. Democratic presidential hopefuls Joe Biden and Bernie Sanders take part in the 11th Democratic Party 2020 presidential debate in a CNN studio in Washington, D.C. on March 15 MANDEL NGAN/AFP/Getty Earlier in the election cycle, when the field of candidates was still large, there was significant talk of a brokered convention. Such a scenario could occur if no single candidate had a majority of delegates by the time the convention took place. The DNC, after a rule change following controversy in 2016, will only allow Super Delegates–which are not pledged to any particular candidate–to cast ballots in a second round of voting. But that should only take place if no candidate won a majority of pledged delegates in the first round of voting. Most political analysts now project that Biden will enter the convention with the majority he needs, which should prevent that from happening. Read more: Newsweek
TheDemocrats 🤣🤣🤣 Flavor of the month. OMFG!!! This is hilarious! They should raffle the candidacy. He’s not running though The increasingly confused, forgetful and incoherent Joe Biden's dementia continues to worsen by the day - to the point that he will no longer be able to feed himself by November, let alone run for President. The Democrats know what they need to do.
Y’all can try whatever rat fuckery you want. It ain’t gonna work. BernieOrBust Am I the only one thinking that Newsweek is becoming a right -wing media outlet... first they come with some outrageous fake polls, then this BS article... If that ever happened, then poor Andy’s mafia ties would surface. Can’t hide that forever...
So being the worst state for the outbreak makes you a hero? cynbrat1 I’d vote for him
New Amsterdam Episode About Pandemic Wreaking Havoc on New York Shelved by NBCIn an essay published Wednesday, creator David Schulner explained the decision to pull the episode saying, “The world needs a lot less fiction right now, and a lot more fact'
So the press is stuck in nyc and now they’re propping up cuomo despite the fact that Inslee, Newsom, and evening John Bel Edwards has done a better job, the latter two with far less resources TrueFactsStated Good-bye Bernie TrueFactsStated Lol. And Yes, I can see why. TrueFactsStated He maybe should have run, it would be really bad now if he was the Dem front-runner. Possible POTUS in the future but not 2020 unless something happens to Joe.
Seeing a lot of manufacturing consent in these replies. Go ahead. Do it. It will be the death knell of the Democratic Party & it's probably overdue. Falling on its own sword to enable fascism. He certainly earned his way into the conversation for sure. Next election cycle look for Gavin Newsom to at least form an exploratory committee.
New York sees some signs of progress against coronavirus as New Orleans hit hardGovernor Andrew Cuomo said New York City will close some public streets to vehicles, opening them up to pedestrian traffic to facilitate 'social distancing' to avoid coronavirus infections Wow... It’s a great idea. Wait... closing to vehicles, which are safer, and opening to crowds? I don't understand why he would do that. This. But permanently. Ty.
way better. way hotter. with none of the crazies. Not a chance at this late date! Does stand a chance at this late date! Maybe VP, but NY is already a Blue State. Why not? NYGovCuomo will make a great POTUS! Cuomo2020 He would definitely have my vote over Biden or Bernie! CuomoFauci2020 'An average of recent betting odds compiled by Real Clear Politics shows Cuomo with a 5.6 percent chance of becoming the Democratic presidential nominee, while Sanders trails with an average of 3.6 percent.'
Interesting how fickle the voters are! You had time to write this shit up but no time to write about Biden's rape allegation? Suspicious Newsom shut California down before Cuomo.
New York sees glimmer of progress against coronavirus, New Orleans worsensNew Orleans has the world's highest growth rate in coronavirus cases, raising fears it may be a powerful catalyst in spreading the virus across the south of the United States This is all Trump’s fault! BlaiAndreu 😢 pdacosta But all wrapped up by Easter Sunday, right?
Be still my beating heart. 😂😂😂😂😂😂 😂 maybe in 2024, wishful thinking Newsweek 😂 god so biased and partisan it’s revolting So the formula to becoming a Democratic darling is years of creating the underlying problem, then blaming and yelling at Trump to fix it. Noted. YES YES YES Bones say let's wait and see if he runs for a Senate seat.
HE HAS MY VOTE And the conspiracy grows even DEEPER 🇺🇸 Cuomo is the leader everyone wants. He’s a protector, a provider, caring, smart and savvy. We need him in our corner to turn our health issues, economic state and international relationships around. Look at how he’s taking care of New York. It’s clear that he is a real leader.
Newsweek: Of course Andrew Cuomo for President. Joe Biden has personal issues with his need to sniff and breath heavily on women. Donald Trump is just plain Nuts... The only other viable alternative is... ANDREW CUOMO FOR PRESIDENT!
Andrew Cuomo's Treatment of Prisoners Reveals He's Leaving Some At-Risk New Yorkers BehindThe New York Governor is being praised for appearing as the anti-Trump — but he’s risking thousands of lives by not taking seriously the risk of an outbreak within the prison system You can’t win’em all. I think he’s trying to take care of everyone. But Rolling Stone wants to focus on criminals? Just shows how off you guys are when u stray away from music and venture into territory u know little about. (which is too often) JamilSmith Good piece. Just FYI: Rikers is a city jail complex, not a prison. It's also the city Board of Correction. Gets confusing, I know.

Cue the BernieBros and Russian trolls telling lies about Cuomo 24/7 from now on. Rendering the primary, and our democracy, farcical. Is Bernie even still running for president 🤮 What the fuck is this shit reporting? Bad Newsweek. I don't like to be teased.
Actress Julia Garner Planned the Ideal New York City Hall WeddingBefore the coronavirus pandemic, actress Julia Garner and musician Mark Foster married at New York ’s City Hall—just like Julia’s parents had 40 years before. I love happy news!! I thought she was like 12
