Hundreds of marchers converged both in Hollywood and West Hollywood, among the numerous protests on Monday.
One group marched west down Hollywood Boulevard in the heart of the tourist district. Another group was at a corner of Sunset Boulevard.At the West Hollywood event, an LAPD officer was seen on video taking a knee in support of the demonstrators. He heard screams of support, then got to his knee to more applause. He then asked everyone to stay safe and leave by the curfew time.

Was there all day. Protest was peaceful. Didn’t need a cop to come in and ask for it. While I understand the need for a feel good story right now, he wasn’t the hero of the day. The men and women of LA who respectfully made their voices heard are the ones who deserve praise.

If you publish an article about one cop being somewhat cooperative with protesters, you should provide the context as to why this is newsworthy. This is an anomaly and is not reflective of the LAPD as a whole. Yet it may lead to people thinking that.
Okay and officers also blocked the protestors in from the front and back and gassed the crowd and that was AFTER the national guard stood on every corner w assault rifles but BEFORE officers in riot gear stormed the crowd and made unnecessary arrests so... headline about that?
