Amazon show director pulls series out of Georgia due to abortion bill: 'There is no way we would ever bring our money to that state by shooting there.'

An Amazon Studios show that had been slated to shoot in Georgia will no longer do so as a result of the state's controversial new abortion law.

For the past few months, employees of the 10-part series had been scouting the region for shooting locations, but after Gov. Brian Kemp signed the"heartbeat" bill into law, Morano pulled them. Executive producers Jane Featherstone and Naomi De Pear of Sister Pictures added in a statement to Variety that"no production commitments have yet been made to shoot in any location in the U.S."

However, Hollywood stands to make perhaps the biggest splash in Georgia, where many films and TV shows are made. Almost immediately after Kemp signed the Georgia bill, two filmmakers, David Simon of Blown Deadline Productions and Christine Vachon of Killer Films, announced that they'd no longer work in the state.

MichaelRapaport Baby death or we are out of here? Weirdos man

because make believe is sooo important.

Yawn.

Come to NY Amazon Studios... oh, wait, you can’t... my apologies, I thought NY was the business leader of the country, guess not. We cave in to non-business people that don’t want your company here... terrible

So liberal cities in Georgia will lose out on some 'temporary' local infusion of money...wah, wah, wah…..

I still say i can live with a movie or show that doesnt get made or filmed in Georgia ,what i can't live with is anyone thinking a stupid tv show or movie is worth more than an innocent life..

Thanks to HOLLYWOOD! For standing up and not making movie's or show in Georgia! The new abortion law is just crazy! It like the rule in Alabama where you. Can marry your sister and your 1st cousin! Hollywood keep up the awesome boycotting of Georgia!

Good! Georgia values life, failing movie industry can keep your dirty money! 👍 👶🏻 - 👎 🎥 💰

Good riddance

Alabama will be just fine without some irrelevant show

Meh not a big deal

And who really gives a shit

Good Georgia doesn't need their BS.

Good for them!

Bye Felicia!

Children are a gift from God. Let them live.

Typical MSM. Hyping a story of 1 small show that means nothing, all just to push the DNC’s pro-murder agenda. Wouldn’t it be nice if someone protected the rights of the feeling, thinking unborn child?

🌵🧵🙆🏻‍♀️

And nobody in Georgia gives a damn. Hollywood thinks people care about their beliefs.😂😂😂😂😂 Hollywood is part of problem and that's one reason the President Trump was elected! MAGA Trump2020 Trump realDonaldTrump

Good. More shows and businesses need to pull their money out. Speak with your wallet.

Sad. So they’re pulling out of the filming location because women can’t kill their babies? What a sad testament of Amazon...

Who cares nobody watches crappy movies anyway

Good work BrianKempGA and your friends in the legislature. More damage to our economy and our reputation. I thought your job was to lift up Georgia not to tear it down.

Controversial law? It’s only controversial if you pray at the alter of NARAl.

So? I'm pretty sure Hollywood doesn't make up the states jobs.

MichaelRapaport Fuck GA, good...

Good for them!!! I live in Georgia and I hope more companies pull out of this state

Even unborn babies aren't for sale.

How can my State get a Hollywood Boycott? We are trying to cut down on sexual offenders.

Thank you Jeff Bezos.

That’s stupid. It’s like liberal west coast America is the only “right” way of living

No loss
