Amazon.com Inc on Thursday said it is contesting the Pentagon's award of an...

The company filed notice last Friday that it will formally protest the decision on the Joint Enterprise Defense Infrastructure Cloud, known as JEDI. In a company-wide meeting on Thursday, Amazon Web Services’ CEO Andy Jassy said it would be challenging for a U.S. agency to award a contract objectively when the president is disparaging one of the contestants, according to an Amazon spokesman.

A challenge to the Defense Department’s award announced last month was widely expected by legal experts, analysts and consultants, especially after Trump publicly derided Amazon’s bid for the high-stakes contract. Trump had said in August that Amazon’s bid for the JEDI contract was under review by his administration after complaints from other companies.

Amazon was considered a favorite for the contract, part of a broader digital modernization process of the Pentagon, before Microsoft emerged as the surprise winner. Oh my, poor monopoly is complaining another monopoly elbowing them out of some money. There are children in Africa weeping for Bezos as we speak.

Microsoft won because it was 'schooled' in why corporations must 'donate' to politicians years ago. Jeff Bezos is channeling Bill Gates before Gates was 'schooled' Bezos will eventually come around, they all do. American politicians demand money for leaving you alone

you'd think the Pentagon and CIA would want control of their own cloud system. Doesn't seem real secure to farm it out these companies.

Right. Amazon needs another $10B of taxpayer money that they don't pay into.

Best answer. The government has zero need for cloud computing. Done.

Amazon was the front runner, until Trump interfered and then everyone went back and changed the parameters to shift the decision away from Amazon. Microsoft became the beneficiary as they were the only other party in the race.

He in lies the problem when you have a gobshite as POTUS. Airing all his anger, dislike and personal grievances over Twitter 24 hours a day, leading to a clear opening for extremely expensive lawsuits... covered by the taxpayer.

Unfortunately for awscloud, “unmistakable bias” and “we didn’t win it” are not the same thing.

Didcisions for online and nothing person can I'm gave fulfled mga scomer toe you our pilliticians people laders

Make sure you remind them that Microsoft is a convicted felon.

Washington Post’s fault

Yea its called “corruption”

'Deficiencies, errors, and unmistakable bias' is the normal Republican modus operandi.

Bezos is pissed his down to his last 💯 billion what the hell can he buy with that his only one small country away from welfare and to rub salt 🧂 in gates is packing a fatter wallet wtf so unfair

It's time for everyone to understand that REUTERS has become FAKE NEWS...

Amazon will protest Pentagon's decision to award $10 billion cloud contract to MicrosoftThe Department of Defense's decision last month to award a massive cloud computing contract to Microsoft was a huge loss for rival Amazon. Now, the company plans to file a formal legal complaint protesting the decision, a spokesperson says. Jeff it was all Trump you should expose they that dirt bag It's obvious what happened here. Trump hates Bezos because he owns The Post, so he illegally steered the contract to $MSFT. Clearly its a conflict of interest fr the owner of Amazon to also own a media company that was so involved in the Russian Collusion Hoax and is currently misinforming the public daily with disinformation about the current coup attempt. They are a clear threat to National Security
