“The ADOC offers medical assessment and treatment to all inmates but does not force them to accept that care,’’ the Alabama Department of Corrections said in a statement.

Kastellio Vaughan, 32, is serving a 20-year sentence for 2019 convictions of multiple car break-ins and a burglary in Baldwin and Mobile counties.

Following the surgery, according to Tuesday’s statement, he opted to be discharged on Aug. 10 against medical advice. “The ADOC offers medical assessment and treatment to all inmates but does not force them to accept that care,’’ according to the statement.

I bet ole Kacetetello wishes he had been a better person cause, damn, he looks awful.

ADOC doesn’t get off that easy. If they saw his condition was deteriorating, they could have gone to the courts to force treatment. Plus why is he serving 20 years for a burglary charge?

Yeah, the government can't kill someone to make them follow the law and they can't make people take their medicine. Vaughan is free to do whatever he wants with his body. It's freedom of choice!

He is lucky to get medical attention he is getting.
