Why was the entire police dept. disbanded, was it on their website? Was the text directed to them, or did it involve them? I'm confused as to what they had to do with the matter, other than that the texter was a cop.😕

Good.

It is racist, I do not see what is humourous about it. This is 2022.

Good.

How was that text racist? Race wasn't mentioned or implied in the text. While it was in bad taste, it had nothing to do with race.

Good! Retraining needed!

The police departments throughout the country are Racist…

💯👍

This just in: Oddly, crime is on the rise.

Good Luck Citizens.....now you can rely on Sheriff's Dept.....100% racist free. HAHAHAHAA

Stupid 'joke'.

Supporters for teen punched by officers in Oak Lawn rally outside Police DepartmentThey're calling for the firing of the officers involved. Ah yes, nothing like a criminals friends and family showing support. One massive parental failure. Will Ben Crump be there with Jesse Jackson, If they are done playing Chinese finger trap with Kim Foxx? The one thing I'm very disappointed in the police in regard to this is they didn't keep up with the norm for when terrorist thugs with guns run from police. You get only one chance to use the legal right to shoot at a suspect who runs, and that's when they're running 🤷

Former Cottonwood Heights councilwoman sues city for handling of 2020 police protestA former Cottonwood Heights Councilwoman filed a lawsuit against the city, police chief and officers she accuses of conspiring to shut down a 2020 protest of the police killing of Zane James, during which she says she was pushed and struck by an officer. It seems the only way to get police to obey the law is to sue them into oblivion. I'm all for it. FthePolice It’s harder than it sounds. The city will protect itself, the bill for your days in court will be horrendous. We did it, we stood our ground, NM still has issues but the blood is not on our hands. We tried, they won, it was lengthy, emotionally exhausting and will haunt us always Coward cops have to be sued to serve the public.

Anchorage police chief says department will reevaluate its policy on officers carrying NarcanAnchorage Police Chief Michael Kerle said that the police department will reconsider its longstanding policy of officers not carrying naloxone, a drug that can quickly reverse the effects of an opioid overdose that might otherwise be fatal. Why would they not? Anyone can administer. They give ‘‘em out like candy in some places What they’re saying is, they would like to get better when it comes to caring. The message is clear: maybe just because someone is overdosing on drugs doesn’t mean they deserve to die. Anyway we’re still evaluating whether it’s really worth it.
