The Port Authority is almost over the goal line settling new contracts with all of its unions except for one, making good on a pledge made by agency leadership five years ago. One PATH union representing 20-30 employees remains to have a new contract with the authority, said Kevin O’Toole, board chairman. That is the Railway Independent Transit Union, representing supervisors, said Scott Ladd, an PATH spokesman.
“We have 6,500 employees now under contracts,” O’Toole said Thursday, “We’ll have 11 of the 12 PATH unions and 22 of the 23 . We want that last one done.” Note to readers: if you purchase something through one of our affiliate links we may earn a commission.
