CANADA’S GENERAL ELECTION, held on October 21st, proved more divisive than decisive. With just a few votes still to be counted, Justin Trudeau’s Liberal Party has squandered the handsome majority it won in 2015, losing around 30 seats in the 338-seat Parliament, mostly to the Conservatives and the separatist Bloc Québécois. The Conservatives won the largest share of the popular vote. Now Mr Trudeau must contemplate life as the leader of a minority government.
Mr Trudeau’s first task will be to find a party to back his government. Canada has plenty of experience of Parliaments in which no party has a majority, for example in 2004, 2006 and 2008. The Liberals’ most natural partner is the New Democratic Party . The NDP’s leader, Jagmeet Singh, said during the campaign he would do “whatever it takes” to keep the Conservatives from power.
Yet if the Liberals are pushed to the left by Mr Singh and the NDP, this will sharpen the alienation already felt by solidly Conservative Alberta and Saskatchewan. With their smaller populations, they have long chafed at the imbalance of power between them and the more populous central provinces. Their anger has deepened since 2014, when global oil prices slumped, causing local economic hardship.
It's not that Albertans 'want to separate'. The Lib Govt is giving us 'no choice but to separate' if we want a future for our kids and our economy. AB would be way better off outside of Canada because of Liberal Govt laws/policies.

Yes and that’s by design. Neither is Canada alone. Stupid globalist policies are the cause but when all the citizenry are awake in all countries there shall be only NATIONAL UNITY TO THROW OUT GLOBALISTS AND GOOD RIDDANCE.
The other side got more of the popular vote. Why is he PM?
alllibertynews How did he win?
Fuck. No
One key moving forward, will be developing a plan to help Alberta moving forward. Diversifying their economy, and the rest of Canada being supportive in this endeavour.
He is the leader of one of the greatest countries on earth so his citizens will expect work from him. The results of this election scream MPS NEED TO WORK TOGETHER. Squabbling, and spewing hatred at your political opponents is happening everywhere in the democracies NotInCanada.

Fraud and groper
Ouch 🤕.. Unity is the ultimate key for Peace - which is the sheer basis of Canada’s beautiful existence - the only change not required here
F. No!
Probably not.
Trudeau has zero chance of uniting Canada. He had 4 years to do so and failed miserably.
Nonetheless, he is still the guy in power, at this critical time, regarding the status of the great and beautiful Nation of Canada, North of US.
Lol, the British saying that a Canadian politician squandered the majority is hilariously ironic. At least we didn't see a small issue and decided to vote for our version of Trump. 😂
Ah well, there's always the dressing up box and face paint to keep him amused. Imagine being Canadian - you've just actively elected a guy whose party repertoire includes black face!
