After blockbuster summer, here’s what Hollywood has for fall

After a spectacular summer with a pair of history-making hits in “Barbie” and “Oppenheimer,” can Hollywood look to more of the same this fall?

“Expend4bles” The fourth outing for the larger than life-sized veterans Jason Statham, Sylvester Stallone, 50 Cent, Megan Fox and Dolph Lundgren.“Carlos,” a documentary on Carlos Santana, charts his musical life from childhood in Mexico to his breakthrough at Woodstock in ’69 and the decades that followed.

“Strange Way of Life,” an English-language short from Spain’s Pedro Almodovar, is a queer Western starring Ethan Hawke and Pedro Pascal, coupled for release with Almodovar’s other short, the 2022 Tilda Swinton vehicle “The Human Voice.”“The Pigeon Tunnel” is Errol Morris’ latest doc, a look at the life and career of former British spy David Cornwell — better known as celebrated author John le Carré .
