The less expensive advertising-supported version is seen as critical to that growth, allowing the company to more easily launch in other countries, and enticing subscribers turned off by the $15 price

point in the U.S. The company says that HBO series and movies will not have ads, instead focusing the ads on library content and Max Originals programming, as well as ads integrated into the user interface.

I mean... its 15 bucks and yet 100 times better than Netflix, Hulu or Disney + so you get your money's worth. It supports up to 5 logins so you could split with someone.

For $10 take away the theatrical movies sure, but introduce ads as well? $5 should be the max for paid streaming with ads
