Acknowledging that transgender and gender non-binary people also get pregnant and have abortions, Rise Up for Abortion RightsThe attack on abortion rights is part of a patriarchal Christian fascist program that takes aim at contraception as well as LGBTQ rights. Denying the right to abortion hits poor women, and especially Black and other women of color, with vicious consequence—tightening the chains of both white supremacy and the subjugation of women.

Denying the right to abortion forces women to bear children against their will. Democrats have wasted 49 years. Democrats. How many times have they held the power? They’ve let us down time and again, prioritizing monied interests over the people, over women, over BIPOC. Time and again.

All nice and good to advocate for such legislation, but if this leg could pass in the so would filibuster reform and the BBB and even M4A. The system is so rotten it is beyond repair. Something else is going to happen and it probably will be christofascism at the Fed level.

Anti-abortion rights proponents say they are prepping for 'post-Roe America’The anti-abortion rights movement is at critical moment, motivated in large part by conservative justices on the Supreme Court who seem poised to rule in favor of states' stringent abortion laws. And what will SCOTUS do when other states use the same legal trick to pass other legislation? A partisan SCOTUS is what we have. We will pay dearly for their worship of trump and his republican toadies. Very dearly.
