So, wherefore all the Wives?a certain shoulder-shuddering intrigue to saying a title likedoesn’t exactly take one’s breath away—even despite being, thematically, the gravest entry in the bunch.

lpbradley 2. Now the 'obsession' with wives is somewhat detached from its historical purpose and context.

lpbradley 'Wives' was an inroad for women into tv. It was Lucille Ball's 'I Love Lucy' that started this journey with a few other women that saw an opportunity: Betty White, Mary Tyler Moor, Bewitched,I Dream of Jeannie etc.....
