A Gulf Tropical Storm Will Likely Develop and Pose a Flash Flood Threat in Texas, LouisianaA tropical depression or storm will likely form in the western Gulf of Mexico by Monday.Heavy rain and flash flooding are a concern in parts of Texas and Louisiana.
The National Hurricane Center has assigned a high chance of development in this general area east of the western Gulf Coast. They have tagged the system Invest 94L, a tagging system used to help identify systems and run specialized hurricane models on disturbances before they become tropical depressions or storms.
