All the Cool Kids Did Karaoke at This Fashion Week Party
As the fashion shows and presentations slowed down last night, David Bowie, Madonna, George Michael, Tina Turner, Elton John, and Freddie Mercury impersonators were amplified by the microphone at Paul’s Cocktail Lounge. On the eve of the final day of New York Fashion Week, New Oliver Sun, an Oliver Peoples and Re/Done collaboration, hosted an ‘80s-themed karaoke party to celebrate their partnership throughout the week’s Spring 2020 debuts.
Eager to take a turn center stage were Rose McGowan, Warren Elgort, and Sophie Auster; each joined the karaoke fun, wowing the wild crowd with their voices. Even Anja Mazur, Alessandra Ambrosio and Jamie Mazur’s daughter, took a turn performing two classics, “Jolene” by Dolly Parton and Elton John’s “I’m Still Standing.”
The lounge’s Miami energy proved perfect for an electric disco party. As the performances continued throughout the evening, guests including Heron Preston, Amanda Anisimova, Sami Miro, Jessica Joffe, RJ King, Chelsea Leyland, Sierra Quitiquit, Ambre Dahan, and AnnaLynne McCord danced until the late hours of the night. Beyond this week’s NYFW events, last night made one thing evidently clear: Fashion folk really do know how to throw a party!
