While you may have to work during the holidays, there are small ways to still enjoy this special time of year. Here are seven ways to unwind during the holidays:Putting your out-of-office message on lets coworkers know that you don’t feel obligated to reply to emails you receive.

Sharing holidays with others can lighten your overall workload. You can do your work that day and look forward to spending time with others afterwards.On work days, people usually follow a schedule. Alarms help people stay on schedule. Alarms also can be stressful. You may be dreading the work ahead.

Give yourself one day to allow your body to wake up when it wants to wake up. Allow yourself to appreciate the start of your day and not rush.Avoid your phone when you wake up. Keep your phone away from your bed so you can’t reach it, or turn it off. Technology stimulates your brain. Reading emails, news or other information on technological devices can excite you, disappoint you or stress you out. Try to ease into your day without the stimulation of technology and strong reactions.
