What Caroline Hirons doesn’t know about skincare isn’t worth knowing. She's a trained aesthetician, brand consultant and skincare blogger with over 700k Instagram followers and her book, Skincare, is a bestseller.

Not only is she one of the most powerful women in the beauty industry, she's also leaning into the tech world, too. In 2022, Caroline launched her top-rated Skin Rocks app. Dubbed "the Google of Skincare", this free app is like having a mini Caroline in your pocket helping your skin look and feel its best.

Caroline's skincare, adult acne, retinol and double cleansing 'cheat sheets' are like a bible for beauty enthusiasts, and her non-nonsense attitude when it comes to the effectiveness of products or brands has won her a legion of fiercely loyal fans. So when she recommends a product, it’s definitely worth investigating — like the cult Curél moisturising face mist we're always spotting on her IG feed.

The beauty expert often collaborates with her favourite brands to create skincare kits and new editions of her favourite products. And Caroline even answered all of our prayers and launched her first skincare brand, Skin Rocks, back in 2022.

If her cleansers were Bon Jovi singles they’d be off of Slippery When Wet and New Jersey. If her cleansers were trainers they’d be Adidas Stan Smiths. And if they were colours they’d be neon. Then I Met You Living Cleansing Balm

Speaking in an IGTV in 2021, Caroline Hirons hailed Korean beauty brand Then I Met You's Living Cleansing Balm, £37, as her "product of the year," and couldn’t say enough good things about the ‘brilliantly formulated’ product.

Founded by Charlotte Cho (of Soko Glam), the product has been available in the US for some time now, garnering a cult following, so we're very excited that it's now available in the UK.

"I didn’t expect to fall in love with a cleansing balm in the way that I did," said Caroline, who praised the seaberry and persimmo cleanser as "brilliantly moisturising, nourishing," and claims it "destroys makeup".

She added that it’s safe for acne-prone skin and that she could find "nothing wrong with it" — high praise indeed.

Caroline also flagged two other Then I Met You products: the Soothing Tea Cleansing Gel and The Giving Essence — both of which she calls "amazing".
