270 health experts to Spotify: Joe Rogan's Covid misinformation is 'a sociological issue of devastating proportions'

In response, the coalition wrote they want Spotify to "immediately establish a clear and public policy to moderate misinformation on its platform."

"By allowing the propagation of false and societally harmful assertions, Spotify is enabling its hosted media to damage public trust in scientific research and sow doubt in the credibility of data-driven guidance offered by medical professionals," the letter said. While Spotify doesn't currently have any concrete policies to combat misinformation, the platform has previously

episodes of other podcasts for spreading falsehoods. Neither Rogan nor Spotify immediately returned CNBC Make It's requests for comment.
