Anne Hathaway Wears a Mod Leather Minidress and Platforms at Cannes

Anne Hathaway had yet another attention-grabbing moment at the Cannes Film Festival on Friday, May 20 — this time in Gucci. The actress attended the "Armageddon Time" photo call wearing a retro blue-and-black minidress from the luxury Italian fashion house. The Gucci design came complete with a bright-blue leather cone bra connected to a black sequined skirt and finished with crisscross straps tied into a bow at the back. She finished her look with a pair of teal-and-bone cat-eye sunglasses, which she ended up removing to pose for photos.

The "WeCrashed" star, whose stylist is Erin Walsh, accessorized the mod-inspired outfit with a pair of six-inch silver heels that also featured tiny bow adornments on the front. As the new face of Bulgari, Hathaway showed off a diamond wrap watch and a pair of matching diamond earrings from the jeweler. When styled with bangs, the ensemble is reminiscent of the leather outfit Hathaway wore as Andy Sachs, her iconic character from 2006 comedy "The Devil Wears Prada," while going on a date in Paris.

On Thursday, May 19, the actress wore a custom Armani Privé gown embellished with white sequins on the red carpet, where she was accompanied by her husband, Adam Shulman. This regal appearance was capped off with silver slingback heels and more Bulgari jewels, including a Mediterranean Reverie necklace that featured a 100,000-carat sapphire comparable to the one Kate Winslet wears as Rose in 1997's "Titanic," aka the Heart of the Ocean.
