WalletHub: Denver Area Ranks Top 50 Among Cities Likely To Visit On A Budget

(CBS4) -- A new report ranks Denver among 100 cities that people like to visit when they're on a budget.

According to WalletHub's 2022's Best Summer Travel Destinations, The Denver-Aurora-Lakewood area ranked 37th. Travel costs, attractions and activities were the pros.

However, it ranked poorly for local costs, weather and safety. COVID-19 cases and crime also factored into safety.

The only other Colorado city on the list was Colorado Springs, which placed 72nd.
