‘We’re on Team Johnny Depp’: Joe Rogan’s advice for Disney’s slumping stocks

.

Podcast host Joe Rogan suggested that the Walt Disney Company could reverse its slump stocks if it were to bring back Johnny Depp to his role of Captain Jack Sparrow in the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise.

Rogan offered up his unsolicited advice to the Walt Disney Company Tuesday during The Joe Rogan Experience podcast: “If Disney wanted to reclaim all the stock that they’ve lost, all the market share they’ve lost over the last couple of months, I guarantee, you say, ‘F*** it, we’re on Team Johnny Depp.’”

Disney’s shares have declined 32.1% this year. Between March and April, its stock saw a loss of around $50 billion in value as the entertainment company battled with Florida’s Republican lawmakers over the state’s Parent Rights in Education Act, branded as the “Don’t Say Gay” bill.

“I wonder if they’re gonna put [Depp] back on Pirates of the Caribbean,” Rogan said. “That would probably pump up their stock market price.”

“Like, literally, that would cause their stock to rise,” he said. “If they’re [just] like, ‘You know what? We’re bringing Johnny back. We believe him.’ Hashtag believe most women.”

Rogan is not alone in his idea of seeing Depp come back as Captain Jack Sparrow. Two petitions recently gained new traction amid the actor’s defamation trial against Amber Heard.
