Following the latest episode of Euphoria, Sydney Sweeney opened up about her experience with nudity on set. Her character, Cassie, has had her fair share of hookup scenes this season thanks to her budding situationship relationship with Nate Jacobs, which means Sydney had to lose clothes for some scenes. In her latest interview with Independent, the 24-year-old actress shared that she had a conversation with showrunner and director, Sam Levinson, about Cassie's nude scenes.

"There are moments where Cassie was supposed to be shirtless and I would tell Sam, 'I don't really think that's necessary here,'" Sydney said. "He was like, 'Okay, we don't need it.' I’ve never felt like Sam has pushed it on me or was trying to get a nude scene into an HBO show. When I didn't want to do it, he didn't make me."

The White Lotus star also compared her experience with Sam and Euphoria to other film and TV sets where she didn't feel comfortable speaking up."I've had experiences where I want to go home and scrub myself completely raw because I feel disgusting," she told the outlet. "I didn't feel comfortable with my castmate or the crew, and I just didn't feel like my character would be doing it."

She went on to explain that there's a "stigma" against female characters who are constantly naked in scenes. "When a guy has a sex scene or shows his body, he still wins awards and gets praise. But the moment a girl does it, it's completely different," Sydney said before calling out critics and claiming how proud she is of her work on Euphoria. "No one talks about it because I got naked. I do The White Lotus and all of the sudden, critics are paying attention. People are loving me. They're going, 'Oh my God, what's she doing next?' I was like, 'Did you not see that in Euphoria?'"

We stan a queen who knows her worth and calls out the ongoing double standards in Hollywood.
